Kadri Voorand
Kadri Voorand is an award-winning Estonian singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer, known for her electrifying stage presence and innovative fusion of jazz, folk, and improvisational pop. Rooted in Estonian traditions, she reinvents jazz and folk through expressive vocals, live looping, and intricate instrumental textures, creating performances that feel both intimate and boundary-pushing.
Signed to ACT Music, she has captivated audiences worldwide at EFG London Jazz Festival, Pori Jazz, and Beijing Nine Gates Jazz Festival. She is the founder and artistic director of Estonian Voices, an acclaimed a cappella group whose three albums have each won an Estonian Music Award.
Voorand has collaborated with internationally renowned artists, including Kristjan Järvi and NOEP, and composed for the Grammy-winning Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, creating both the music and libretto for "Giving Myself to the Sea," a piece inspired by Estonian legends and folk traditions. She is among the most performed contemporary composers at the Estonian Song and Dance Celebration.
"Kadri Voorand is a people person. Whether playing piano, violin, or thumb piano, the audience hangs on her every note, and when invited to join in, they sing as one." - Jazzwise
